Before gaining BNY Mellon as a sponsor in 2013, the 49ers were selling Stadium Builder Licenses (aka “Seat Licenses“) under temporary club names. The BNY Mellon Club was originally called the Legacy Club because the decor would focus on the storied legacy of the 49ers. To this day the club is still decorated with art and photographs that capture the history and legends of the 49ers organization.
